Description
The Quantity Measuring Fuse Assembly, is an in-line sensor that monitors the quantity of hydraulic fluid passing through, then blocks the flow when a desired quantity has passed. The fuse can then be reset by either flowing fluid in the reverse direction or by lowering the differential pressure across the fuse assembly to 5 psid. (34.5 kPa). There is also a threshold feature built in that will not allow the fuse to close when the flow rate is less than .02 gpm (.08 lpm).
The major control elements of the fuse assembly are the slide and the sleeve. These two components, along with the regulator spring, form the regulator. The metering slot, which allows fluid to flow into the piston cavity, is located in the sleeve and is also controlled by the movement of the slide.
